Carefree Highway is a Southern California Acoustic Duo with lifelong friends Mike Simpson and Jim Nau, who have played together in a variety of bands for many years. Come join us on the Carefree Highway - Just great old songs from the 60’s and 70’s with harmony vocals, guitars and bass. Remembering the good old days when life was simpler and easier.
Carefree Highway is a Southern California based, acoustic guitar/ vocal duo, featuring the harmony talents of life-long friends, Jim Nau and Mike Simpson, who showcase the top hits of the 50's, 60's, 70's and more. Carefree Highway's crowd-friendly vibe and good-time music will have you singing along to the best of the Eagles, America, Crosby Stills & Nash and other great artists.

Jim Nau is an award-winning songwriter and producer, receiving "Best Americana Song" for his song "Time to Say Goodbye" at the 2017 Radio Music Awards, hosted by the Indie Music Channel in Los Angeles. Jim runs a San Diego based recording studio, Blue Horse Music, where he records local bands and artists.

Mike Simpson played with the Orange County based country rock band, Abilene, for years. The country rock influence continues to run strong in Carefree Highway's sets, including songs by Dwight Yoakam, George Strait and Glen Campbell.
